HIS Serene Highness Prince Tu’ipelehake married for the 4th time yesterday in a private ceremony at his residence in Fatai.

His new wife is Fifita Holeva Tu’iha’angana, sister of Lord Tu’iha’angana and daughter of the late Tu’iha’angana (Kiteau Latu) and wife Losimani.

Prince Tu’ipelehake (53), born Viliami Tupoulahi Mailefihi Tuku’aho, is first cousin to His Majesty King George Tupou V and is the youngest son of the late Prince Fatafehi Tu’ipelehake who passed away in 1999.

He was first married to Mele Vikatolia Faletau in 1983, whereby he renounced his rights to succession and his title of “Prince”, for marrying a commoner. He was again married to former beauty queen Ma’ata Mo’ungaloa in 1996 then to ‘Ene’io Tatafu, whom he recently divorced.

He has two children by Mele Vikatolia, the Hon. Taone Tuku’aho Vallabh and Hon. Sione Ngu Tuku’aho.

He succeeded the noble title of Tu’ipelehake in 2006 after his brother Prince Tu’ipelehake ‘Uluvalu died tragically in a car crash in San Francisco, California along with his wife Kaimana.

In 2008, he was granted the title of “His Serene Highness Prince Tu’ipelehake” by King George Tupou V.
